尊敬的各位领导、各位来宾:

上午好!感谢大家千里迢迢莅临我校,欢聚一堂,见证我校小学英语教学科研团队的成立。随着新课程改革的推进,小学英语教学越来越普及和规范,学校领导对我们英语教研组也越来越重视。小学英语教育正在蓬勃发展,而我们山区的英语教学还十分薄弱。适逢XX市教育局教研室徐XX老师做课题研究,致力于缩短城乡小学英语教育距离之机,我们积极响应号召,选派骨干教师参加学习。在XX市教育局教研室的关心下,在市小学英语教研团队的指导下,在XX中心小学领导的大力支持下,终于组建了自己的小学英语教学科研团队。小学英语教学科研团队的成立开启了我校英语教学的新纪元。教研团队的组建对清江的教育教研工作将起到至关重要的作用。

我对兢兢业业干工作的人总是由衷的敬佩。所以,首先,我要对活动组织者张琼老师说一声:你辛苦了!对三位做课的老师道一声谢谢!对和我一样怀揣一颗学习心认真听课的老师道一声恭喜!你们来对了!

就今天三四年级的两堂课:那是成功的两堂课,是两位美女老师带给大家两堂美丽生动的小学英语课。xx老师的课娓娓道来,水到渠成,润物细无声;李xx老师的课,师生沉浸在情景中,智慧地对话,激情洋溢,富有感召力。这两堂课,值得推广的闪光点是:

1、英语教育教学理念值得推崇语言素材生活化;课堂教学交际化;知识要点序列化;课堂环境英语化;实践活动多样化。

2、在口语教学和朗读教学时,不仅培养学生的注意力,让学生学会倾听,而且把自然拼读法贯穿单词教学的始终。

歌谣在教学中的应用。

学科学、用科学教育。所有物渗透的是:珍惜物品,爱心捐赠。李xx老师还注重了学生用英语思维的训练。

5、构思巧妙的板书。

当然,延伸到课外我们还可以这样做:

南片骨干教师送课下乡活动中,我收集了老师们教育教学中亟待解决的问题,总结如下:

1、作为兼职的英语老师,我还承担了一个班的班主任工作和数学教学工作,任务繁重。英语专业毕业的我对数学教学部熟悉,需要花费大量的时间与精力,有些力不从心。希望学校能够安排专职英语教师教英语,这样可以发挥我所长,运用我所学,帮助学生学习英语。

2、教学资源缺乏,希望学校添置英语教学的教学资源。

3、教学设备设施差。

4、需要加强知识和理论培训。(张老师安排专人专题讲座,已经在着手解决这个问题了)。

5、英语授课时间与教育教学任务的矛盾。

下面,就老师们提出的困惑,我谈谈我的意见和做法,希望能帮到你。

一、如何解决教学设备设施差、教学资源缺乏的问题?

关于装备,能说服校长,单位添置,当然好。不行,自己花个能避免用嗓过度、可以自家小孩学习用、还可以放放音乐健身用),也没多大损失。我购买的这套装备包括:小蜜蜂、点读笔、音频线、u盘。

挂图和配图单词卡因为它的直观、生动和形象深受学生喜欢,这是值得推广的一种教学法:图片教学法。挂图和单词卡可以自己制作。

这是三年级孩子的学生单词卡的,拿来班上用,太小。怎么变大?扫描仪扫描,然后裁剪。一张张扫描,一张张裁剪,就成了制作单词卡的素材。

这就是我送给老师们的小礼物英语(三起)第一册单词卡。(多媒体展示单词卡文件包)

条件好的彩色打印,条件差黑白打印。单词卡就是这样制作的。这个单词卡有点不好,英语单词没写在四线三格里,而且是印刷体。(实物展示单词卡panda)。单词要用手写体写在四线三格里。(实物展示单词卡grandma)。展示规范的单词卡。(实物展示单词卡今天today)

标准移动单词卡制作法:在A上词下图、我喜欢一面图一面词)单词用手写体书写在四线三格里,辅音黑色元音红色。辅音元音要用不同的颜色标注)四角用双面胶贴上软磁铁(可以在有磁性的黑板上任意张贴和移动)。

挂图也可以用同样的方法来制作。

各位老师,只要有心,废品也可以变成宝贝,对吧。制作过程虽说辛苦,你保管好,来年又可以用,而且可以长期使用。挂图和配图单词卡可以使我们的教和学生的学变得很轻松,能竭诚为学生和老师们服务,我很有成就感,很满足。

二、我反对一学期上两本书,也不赞成删减教材模块。我们要尽可能多的给学生提供英语信息量,让小学生了解多姿多彩的英语世界。那么,如何解决授课时间与教育教学任务的矛盾呢?我赞成刘荣老师和杨瑛老师的做法。

教材的简易处理法:每个单元的标题肯定是重点;新教材每单元活动2是最重要的学习内容(老教材每单元的.活动1);目标单词和目标句子的四会就是每个模块的重点。易错又是重点的东西那肯定就是难点啊。也可以根据任务功能找目标句子。找到后要有问有答,一一呼应,彬彬有礼。

我始终坚持一学期上完一本书,只是复习的时候侧重复习考试内容。

三、小学英语教育教学的路子(原则)“听说领先,读写跟上”。

“听说领先,读写跟上”是小学英语教育教学原则,它也是我们小学英语教育教学的正确路子。但是,这句话里的“读写”不是拼读和书写,这个原则推迟的是阅读和写作。拼读朗读、拼写书写从一开始就得抓紧。决不能掉以轻心,否则拼写错误太多会后患无穷。我们要言传身教,要呈现规范的板书和书写。

四、我们很多英语老师都是跨班级、跨年级、跨学区(除了镇小还兼上村小英语)。有的老师揽完了全校三至六年级所有英语课,四个头呢,十多二十个班额;我们也有很多教语数的老师顺带上英语。像这类情况的,我们南片的,因为师资力量的薄弱,更多吧。兄弟姐妹啊,你纵是“千手观音”,那菩萨也有打盹的时候。所以呀,老师们总是感叹力不从心。优化课外班级管理,这个法子可以让你工作轻松一些。

2、课堂规矩要立起来。

3、是让孩子学会管理英语班级。

我们应该想着让我们的孩子增强“小主人”的意识。锻炼了一批小能手,为老师观察孩子、管理班级。

在小干部的培养上,根据检查项目,班级设置四个管理岗位:“过关门岗” “英语组长”“英语小老师”、“值日班长”。

a“过关门岗”人人都是,每周一句子过关。作业抄写和“情景导学”是否完成。

b“英语组长”: 督促“过关门岗”及时工作,抽查组员情况,查漏补缺。

c “值日班长”按学号轮流。主要职责:组织到教室的同学早读。提醒做好课前准备。管理下课和放学纪律。

d “英语小老师”由老师指定家离学校近一点,肯吃苦、能负责、英语朗读好的小干部担任。职责:每节英语课铃响到讲台前领背单词、句子、新教材每单元活动“组长”、“值日班长”及时工作。检查组长作业抄写和“情景导学”作业完成情况。

五、关于常规作业的处理

学生可以选择自己喜欢的方式完成常规作业。

2.合理安排语音教学的进度

这套教材没有一开始就让学生集中学习音标,而是让学生在掌握字母、部分单词及词汇的,逐步渗透语音教学,这一点十分符合儿童的年龄特征及认知特点。在学习第三册时,教师可以将48个音标陆陆续续地介绍给学生,要求学生在一年内初步掌握48个音标的发音、认读及拼读单音节。在第五册的教学中,我们将把字母组合的发音运用到单词、短语和句子的教学中。

这样安排语音符号教学进度是合理的。落实到具体的教学实践中,就要求我们教师熟悉整套教材,有的放矢地将枯燥的语音教学贯穿于小学英语教学的全过程,化整为零,采用“星星之火可以燎原”的教学策略。

2、 熟练运用多种方法进行音标教学。

音标教学能否达到预期目的和理想效果,取决于教学方法。简单的音素识别,记忆和重复的拼写练习确实很无聊。教师应根据小学生活泼好动、好奇心强的特点,巧妙设计教法,采用科学、有效的方式来教学音标,这样就会达到事半而功倍。

1.音标概念的引出要自然,形象。

由于我们面对的是幼稚的小学生,因此,语音符号的概念应该生动生动。宁都县教是这样说:音标就像汉字的拼音,英语单词可以通过音标拼出来。

音标的大家族里有48个人口。汉语拼音有韵母与声母,同样音标也有元音与辅音之分。音标的形状和字母非常相似,但它们都有一件漂亮的小风衣。

2音标教学应与字母、文字相结合。

学生在学习音标的同时也学会了字母。在音标教学中,结合字母的发音,帮助学生掌握音标的发音。例如,在教学音标[i:]中,让学生找出[i:

]的字母ebcdgptv。如在教学音标[e]时,让学生找出含有[e]的字母flmnsxz,这样,学生就很容易掌握音标的发音部位。在单词教学时,教师应适时地教给学生掌握字母(形)在单词中读音(音),掌握字母在单词中的发音规则。

1运用多种教学方法练习音标

我们面对的是天真的小学生,他们的注意力很容易分散。 为了充分调动学生学习音标的积极性,教师应该充分利用电视、幻灯、录音机等现代化教学设备及自制卡片、挂图、小黑板等教具。借助这些具体形象的**刺激学生的感官,帮助他们记忆枯燥抽象的音标。

2.积极利用各种游戏操练音标

游戏是学生们最好的朋友,利用游戏练习语音符号很受学生们的欢迎。如我们学校的王宣老师就采用了游戏missing game(哪一张不见了),不仅可以让学生识记音标,还可以训练学生的眼力。finding the good friends (找朋友)游戏,教师报一个清辅音或浊辅音,学生快速说出对应的浊辅音或清辅音,教师报出短元音或长元音,学生说出对应的长元音或短元音。

它不仅可以练习比较发音,而且可以培养学生

的反应能力。当然,关于音标操练的游戏不胜枚举,作为教师要勤动脑、善组织,利用简单、易操作的游戏激发学生的学习音标的兴趣。

四、反复操练,持之以恒。

音标教学不可能一劳永逸,学生学习完了音标,并不是永远掌握了,由于没有具体的语言环境,外语学习是最容易回生的。因此,语音教学必须反复,反复把握,做到持之以恒。教师要在教会学生音标的认读及拼读之后,注意培养学生按照读音规则,把单词的音、形、义联系起来迅速反应的能力。

每次教新词时,不仅要会发音、会拼读,还要与旧词联系,进行一些归类性的训练,并且反复拼读,不断正音,学生在这样训练下,语音才会越来越好。

心理学理论告诉我们“小学生更容易形成习惯的定势”,学生一旦养成靠音标读准单词、靠读音想音标拼出单词、自动运用把音标和单词进行比较的方法记单词等习惯,他将终身受益。因此,在平时的语音教学中,教师应该坚持规范有序的语音训练,培养学生良好的语音语调,提高学生学习英语的积极性,使学生真正迈入英语学习的大门。

good afternoon, everyone. very happy to see so many new faces here. i am wang pengyuan, a senior student from class 1101. today, it gives me a great honor to give a welcome speech here, to share with you some of my experiences as well as give you some suggestions in the beginning of your college life.

actually, i am very much curious about your definitions of a good college life at this special point. someone once complained to me that the college life is totally a waste of time and money. do you think so? the answer is definitely no. here i want to tell you that if you try to manage your college life well, you will find that it will be really a valuable part of your life.

and now i"m going to share with you my personal experiences of my college life. i remember when i was a freshman, a junior student was giving a speech on this stage i was so impressed by her, and made my mind to study hard. so what i did in my pervious three years was just about making full use of college resources to develop my own potentials.

in my first year, i studied hard as i did in my high school, attending every class, listening to teachers carefully, reviewing after class and doing homework by myself. college at that time was a brand new stage for me, i was trying to find my way of adapting to it quickly. i participated in various kinds of activities to improve my abilities, such as joining in the students union, going to the old people"s home, selling newspapers outside campus, taking part in chorus competition and recitation contest. i think my ability is somehow improved through the year of efforts.

the second year was a very important turning point for me. i tried to learn more by myself and then apply the knowledge into practice. the very important event for me is the 18th china daily 21st century cup national english speaking competition in which i got the first prize in our school. but what i want to mention is only the benefits i gained from this competition, for example, my english speaking ability has been improved, and no longer afraid of saying a word in public and also i made friends with many students from other universities with whom i can share experience. and some other competitions like hubei provincial translation and interpreting competition, and so many more.

another part is the social activities. in july XX, i went to singapore to be a volunteer in the second international traditional martial arts competition. that was also an amazing experience in my life. as you can see that i witnessed with my own eyes a different culture thus broadening my horizons. so here i want to appeal to you all that seize every opportunity to develop yourself, for the college is an integrated platform in the journey of your life through which you are bound to grow up.

the third years seems like a great leap for me. equipped with the solid foundation i laid in the previous two years, i further participated in some important major-related contests, such as the outlook talent show held by cctv, the fifth cross-strait interpreting competition and national english ability competition. through all these contests, i found myself much more confident in the road ahead.

next i"m going to give you some suggestions to help you manage your college life better.

suggestion1: learn as much as possible.

for most of us college can be an unforgettable period for us to learn something. some one once said that university is like a dye vat, which means that you may be easily influenced by others. if you want to learn something you will be embraced by knowledge and wisdom; and if you don"t have the desire to learn you will find you get nothing after 4 years" college life.

suggestion2: cultivate your potentials and interests.

as we know, university is an integrated platform compared with high school. you do not need to bury your head in the books all day long. you need to conduct your self-cultivation and find where your interests lie in. for example, if you have the talent for dancing, you can join in the dance association. just show it. life will be colorful if there is joy.

suggestion3: always be optimistic and hopeful.

everybody knows that college life is mostly determined by ourselves. sometimes you may find that teachers can"t instruct you in every aspects. so you may easily come across difficulties with which you will get bored. but please remember that life has its ups and downs, adversity is just part of our lives. be optimistic, you will always find your way out.

其实我十分好奇你们在这样一个时间点对于一场精彩大学生活的定义。有人曾经抱怨说大学四年完全是浪费时间和金钱, 对此,你们是这样认为的吗?答案是否定的。我想告诉大家的是,只要你们好好经营自己的大学生活,它将成为你们人生中的宝贵财富。

接下来我想和大家简单分享一下我大学的经历。我始终记得我大一的这个时候一位学姐在这个台上给我们分享经验的场景。我当时被她的英语口语深深震撼了,因而决定努力奋斗,争取达到像她一样的水平。所以,我在大学期间所做的其实就是充分利用大学的各种资源发展自己的潜力,提升自己的水平。大一的时候,我像高中那样刻苦学习,从不逃课,上课认真听讲,课后认真复习,独立完成作业。那个时候,大学对于我来说是一个全新的人生阶段,我必须想办法让自己尽快适应它。为了提高自己的能力,我积极参加各种各样的活动和社团,诸如加入学生会、走访敬老院、街头义务卖报、红歌合唱比赛及朗诵比赛等。

You're looking at a woman who was publicly silent for a decade. Obviously, that's changed, but only recently.

It was several months ago that I gave my very first major public talk at the Forbes 30 Under 30 summit:1,500 brilliant people, all under the age of 30. That meant that in 1998, the oldest among the group were only 14, and the youngest, just four. I joked with them that some might only have heard of me from rap songs. Yes, I'm in rap songs. Almost 40 rap songs.

But the night of my speech, a surprising thing happened. At the age of 41, I was hit on by a 27-year-old guy. I know, right? He was charming and I was flattered, and I declined. You know what his unsuccessful pickup line was? He could make me feel 22 again. I realized later that night, I'm probably the only person over 40 who does not want to be 22 again.

At the age of 22, I fell in love with my boss, and at the age of 24, I learned the devastating consequences.

Can I see a show of hands of anyone here who didn't make a mistake or do something they regretted at 22? Yep. That's what I thought. So like me, at 22, a few of you may have also taken wrong turns and fallen in love with the wrong person, maybe even your boss. Unlike me, though, your boss probably wasn't the president of the United States of America. Of course, life is full of surprises.

Not a day goes by that I'm not reminded of my mistake, and I regret that mistake deeply.

In 1998, after having been swept up into an improbable romance, I was then swept up into the eye of a political, legal and media maelstrom like we had never seen before. Remember, just a few years earlier,news was consumed from just three places: reading a newspaper or magazine, listening to the radio, or watching television. That was it. But that wasn't my fate. Instead, this scandal was brought to you by the digital revolution. That meant we could access all the information we wanted, when we wanted it, anytime, anywhere, and when the story broke in January 1998, it broke online. It was the first time the traditional news was usurped by the Internet for a major news story, a click that reverberated around the world.

What that meant for me personally was that overnight I went from being a completely private figure to a publicly humiliated one worldwide. I was patient zero of losing a personal reputation on a global scale almost instantaneously.

This rush to judgment, enabled by technology, led to mobs of virtual stone-throwers. Granted, it was before social media, but people could still comment online, email stories, and, of course, email cruel jokes. News sources plastered photos of me all over to sell newspapers, banner ads online, and to keep people tuned to the TV. Do you recall a particular image of me, say, wearing a beret?

Now, I admit I made mistakes, especially wearing that beret. But the attention and judgment that I received, not the story, but that I personally received, was unprecedented. I was branded as a tramp, tart, slut, whore, bimbo, and, of course, that woman. I was seen by many but actually known by few. And I get it: it was easy to forget that that woman was dimensional, had a soul, and was once unbroken.

When this happened to me 17 years ago, there was no name for it. Now we call it cyberbullying(网络欺凌)andonline harassment(网络骚扰). Today, I want to share some of my experience with you, talk about how that experience has helped shape my cultural observations, and how I hope my past experience can lead to a change that results in less suffering for others.

In 1998, I lost my reputation and my dignity. I lost almost everything, and I almost lost my life.

Let me paint a picture for you. It is September of 1998. I'm sitting in a windowless office room inside the Office of the Independent Counsel underneath humming fluorescent lights. I'm listening to the sound of my voice, my voice on surreptitiously taped phone calls that a supposed friend had made the year before. I'm here because I've been legally required to personally authenticate all 20 hours of taped conversation. For the past eight months, the mysterious content of these tapes has hung like the Sword of Damocles over my head. I mean, who can remember what they said a year ago? Scared and mortified, I listen, listen as I prattle on about the flotsam and jetsam of the day; listen as I confess my love for the president, and, of course, my heartbreak; listen to my sometimes catty, sometimes churlish, sometimes silly self being cruel, unforgiving, uncouth; listen, deeply, deeply ashamed, to the worst version of myself,a self I don't even recognize.

A few days later, the Starr Report is released to Congress, and all of those tapes and trans, those stolen words, form a part of it. That people can read the trans is horrific enough, but a few weeks later, the audio tapes are aired on TV, and significant portions made available online. The public humiliation was excruciating. Life was almost unbearable.

This was not something that happened with regularity back then in 1998, and by this, I mean the stealing of people's private words, actions, conversations or photos, and then making them public -- public without consent, public without context, and public without compassion.

Fast forward 12 years to 2010, and now social media has been born. The landscape has sadly become much more populated with instances like mine, whether or not someone actually make a mistake, and now it's for both public and private people. The consequences for some have become dire, very dire.

I was on the phone with my mom in September of 2010, and we were talking about the news of a young college freshman from Rutgers University named Tyler Clementi. Sweet, sensitive, creative Tyler was secretly webcammed by his roommate while being intimate with another man. When the online world learned of this incident, the ridicule and cyberbullying ignited. A few days later, Tyler jumped from the George Washington Bridge to his death. He was 18.

My mom was beside herself about what happened to Tyler and his family, and she was gutted with painin a way that I just couldn't quite understand, and then eventually I realized she was reliving 1998, reliving a time when she sat by my bed every night, reliving a time when she made me shower with the bathroom door open, and reliving a time when both of my parents feared that I would be humiliated to death,literally.

Today, too many parents haven't had the chance to step in and rescue their loved ones. Too many have learned of their child's suffering and humiliation after it was too late. Tyler's tragic, senseless death was a turning point for me. It served to recontextualize my experiences, and I then began to look at the world of humiliation and bullying around me and see something different. In 1998, we had no way of knowing where this brave new technology called the Internet would take us. Since then, it has connected people in unimaginable ways, joining lost siblings, saving lives, launching revolutions, but the darkness, cyberbullying, and slut-shaming that I experienced had mushroomed. Every day online, people, especially young people who are not developmentally equipped to handle this, are so abused and humiliated that they can't imagine living to the next day, and some, tragically, don't, and there's nothing virtual about that. ChildLine, a U.K. nonprofit that's focused on helping young people on various issues,released a staggering statistic late last year: From 2012 to 2013, there was an 87 percent increase in calls and emails related to cyberbullying. A meta-analysis done out of the Netherlands showed that for the first time, cyberbullying was leading to suicidal ideations more significantly than offline bullying. And you know what shocked me, although it shouldn't have, was other research last year that determined humiliation was a more intensely felt emotion than either happiness or even anger.

Cruelty to others is nothing new, but online, technologically enhanced shaming is amplified, uncontained, and permanently accessible. The echo of embarrassment used to extend only as far as your family, village, school or community, but now it's the online community too. Millions of people, often anonymously, can stab you with their words, and that's a lot of pain, and there are no perimeters around how many people can publicly observe you and put you in a public stockade. There is a very personal price to public humiliation, and the growth of the Internet has jacked up that price.

For nearly two decades now, we have slowly been sowing the seeds of shame and public humiliation in our cultural soil, both on- and offline. Gossip websites, paparazzi, reality programming, politics, news outlets and sometimes hackers all traffic in shame. It's led to desensitization and a permissive environment online which lends itself to trolling, invasion of privacy, and cyberbullying. This shift has created what Professor Nicolaus Mills calls a culture of humiliation. Consider a few prominent examples just from the past six months alone. Snapchat, the service which is used mainly by younger generationsand claims that its messages only have the lifespan of a few seconds. You can imagine the range of content that that gets. A third-party app which Snapchatters use to preserve the lifespan of the messages was hacked, and 100,000 personal conversations, photos, and videos were leaked online to now have a lifespan of forever. Jennifer Lawrence and several other actors had their iCloud accounts hacked, and private, intimate, nude photos were plastered across the Internet without their permission.One gossip website had over five million hits for this one story. And what about the Sony Pictures cyberhacking? The documents which received the most attention were private emails that had maximum public embarrassment value.

But in this culture of humiliation, there is another kind of price tag attached to public shaming. The price does not measure the cost to the victim, which Tyler and too many others, notably women, minorities,and members of the LGBTQ community have paid, but the price measures the profit of those who prey on them. This invasion of others is a raw material, efficiently and ruthlessly mined, packaged and sold at a profit. A marketplace has emerged where public humiliation is a commodity and shame is an industry.How is the money made? Clicks. The more shame, the more clicks. The more clicks, the more advertising dollars. We're in a dangerous cycle. The more we click on this kind of gossip, the more numb we get to the human lives behind it, and the more numb we get, the more we click. All the while, someone is making money off of the back of someone else's suffering. With every click, we make a choice. The more we saturate our culture with public shaming, the more accepted it is, the more we will see behavior like cyberbullying, trolling, some forms of hacking, and online harassment. Why? Because they all have humiliation at their cores. This behavior is a symptom of the culture we've created. Just think about it.

Changing behavior begins with evolving beliefs. We've seen that to be true with racism, homophobia, and plenty of other biases, today and in the past. As we've changed beliefs about same-sex marriage, more people have been offered equal freedoms. When we began valuing sustainability, more people began to recycle. So as far as our culture of humiliation goes, what we need is a cultural revolution. Public shaming as a blood sport has to stop, and it's time for an intervention on the Internet and in our culture.

The shift begins with something simple, but it's not easy. We need to return to a long-held value of compassion -- compassion and empathy. Online, we've got a compassion deficit, an empathy crisis.

Researcher Brené Brown said, and I quote, "Shame can't survive empathy." Shame cannot survive empathy. I've seen some very dark days in my life, and it was the compassion and empathy from my family, friends, professionals, and sometimes even strangers that saved me. Even empathy from one person can make a difference. The theory of minority influence, proposed by social psychologist Serge Moscovici, says that even in small numbers, when there's consistency over time, change can happen. In the online world, we can foster minority influence by becoming upstanders. To become an upstander means instead of bystander apathy, we can post a positive comment for someone or report a bullying situation. Trust me, compassionate comments help abate the negativity. We can also counteract the culture by supporting organizations that deal with these kinds of issues, like the Tyler Clementi Foundation in the U.S., In the U.K., there's Anti-Bullying Pro, and in Australia, there's Project Rockit.

We talk a lot about our right to freedom of expression, but we need to talk more about our responsibility to freedom of expression. We all want to be heard, but let's acknowledge the difference between speaking up with intention and speaking up for attention. The Internet is the superhighway for the id, but online, showing empathy to others benefits us all and helps create a safer and better world. We need to communicate online with compassion, consume news with compassion, and click with compassion. Just imagine walking a mile in someone else's headline. I'd like to end on a personal note. In the past nine months, the question I've been asked the most is why. Why now? Why was I sticking my head above the parapet? You can read between the lines in those questions, and the answer has nothing to do with politics.

The top note answer was and is because it's time: time to stop tip-toeing around my past; time to stop living a life of opprobrium; and time to take back my narrative. It's also not just about saving myself. Anyone who is suffering from shame and public humiliation needs to know one thing: You can survive it. I know it's hard. It may not be painless, quick or easy, but you can insist on a different ending to your story. Have compassion for yourself. We all deserve compassion, and to live both online and off in a more compassionate world.

These words did not heal my wounded thoughts but left me with unsettled thoughts of how I was going to make it through. Am glad to stand here today and testify that I have not once failed a course since my sophomore year. This did not however happen by luck but through hard work, discipline and persistence.

Everyone here belongs and each and every one of you newly enrolled students will find your place. There will be many things, many traditions that you will come to know. But you will come to understand what i believe is most important about this place—that It is the centre of new and original thought and ideas. And it is ideas that are ultimately most important in this world.

Cqupt provides an environment good to both learn and grow as an individual and as a part of a community. Do not wait to be told or pushed to join an extracurricular activity e.g orts meetings, school organised competitions etc, all these activities are organised for us students and it is up to us to organise ourselves and enjoy these activities together. One question you should keep asking yourself whilst here is, how do I make the most of my time here. By implication, we see a 4-step definition of success: 1 ) a goal to be set. as represented by the beautiful princess; 2 ) challenges to be met, as represented by the three tasks; 3 ) the process of surmounting difficulties, as represented by the ordeals the youth goes through; and 4 ) the reward of success, as represented by the happy marriage.

The story not only caters to everyones inward yearning for success, but also emphasizes the inseparability of the process and the result. The reward of success will be much amplified if the path leading towards it is treacherous, and vice versa. If a person inherits his fathers millions and leads an easy life, he is not a successful person even in material terms, because there are no difficulties involved in his achieving affluence. The term "success", to be sure. will not sit still for easy definition. But as I understand it, the true meaning of success entails a combination of both the process and the satisfactory result of an endeavor. To clarify my view, let me give another analogy.

If we changed the rules of football, greatly enlarged the goal and sent away David Seaman or any other goal keeper, so that another David, namely David Beckham, could score easily, then scoring would not give him the thrill of accomplishment and the joy that it brings. If we further changed the rules by not allowing Arsenals defenders to defend, so that Beckham needed only to lift a finger, actually a toe, to score, then there would be no game at all, because the meaning of winning would have disappeared. In accepting the challenge, in surmounting the difficulties and in enduring the hardship, success acquires its value. The sense of attainment varies in proportion to the degree of difficulties on overcomes.

The concept of success is not constant but relative because the nature of difficulty is also relative. Something you do effortlessly might pose a great difficulty for a handicapped person. In acquiring the ability to do the same as you can, he or she achieve success. Thats why we greatly admire Stephen Hawking, because, though confined to a wheel chair, he has contributed greatly to the field of science.

I myself, a rather shy person by nature who easily suffer from stage fright, had to pluck up great courage to take part in a speech contest like this. I could have stayed away and had an easy time of it by not entering the university level contest.But I chose to accept the challenge and to face the difficulties. Now here I am. If I come out first, it will be a great success for me. If I come out last-I hope this will not be the case-but if I come out last, I will not call my attempt a failure, but will also celebrate it as a true success, because part of my goal is my own character training-to do more assertive, to be brave in face of difficulties. For me, it is a meaningful step forward, small as it is, in the long journey toward the final success in my life, because I have truly gained by participating.

Let us return to our handsome young prince and the 4-step definition of success. You my have noticed that the usual worldly criteria of wealth, position and fame were not mentioned as part of the story, but rather, it emphasized the process of overcoming difficulties. she refused to sign the final adoption *****s. she only relented a few months later when my parents promised that i would someday go to college. this was the start in my life.

and 17 years later i did go to college. but i *****ly chose a college that was almost as expensive as stanford, and all of my working-class parents' savings were being spent on my college tuition. after six months, i couldn't see the value in it.

i had no idea what i wanted to do with my life and no idea how college was going to help me figure it out. and here i was spending all of the money my parents had saved their entire life. so i decided to drop out and would all work out ok.

it was pretty scary at the time, but looking back it was one of the best decisions i ever made. the minute i dropped out i could stop taking the required classes that didn't interest me, and begin dropping in on the ones that looked far more interesting.

and much of what i stumbled into by following my curiosity and intuition turned out to be priceless later on. let me give you one example:

it was the first ***puter with beautiful typography. if i had never dropped in on that single course in college, the mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts. and since windows just copied the mac, its likely that no personal ***puter would have them.

if i had never dropped out, i would have never dropped in on this calligraphy class, and personal ***puters might not have the wonderful typography that they do. of course it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when i was in college. but it was very, very clear looking backwards ten years later.

大家好:

今天我的话题是“英语六级的重要性”,按道理说我讲的内容应该是,从学校到学院都很重视六级的,毕业时很多企业也是要六级证书的等等,然后呼吁大家要好好学习,认真复习,争取一次性通过六级云云。但如果是真的,我会觉得自己像个汉奸,中华民族的汉奸!所以,我不会这么说!

我也说不出来.

我今天想说的是,通过大学英语四级考试的目的是鄙视英语;而通过6,是更多的鄙视英语。没错,这就是我的观点!

其实我特别痛恨英语,尽管我的英语还没有差到令我头痛!我记得当我第一次开始学英语的时候,我曾经问我们的英语老师为什么我们要学英语?我又不去国外留学!

我仍然清楚地记得老师简单的回答:因为美国比中国强!去年四级考试之前,我在网上看到了一个**,说的是四川成都一名大四学生英语四级屡次未过,终于不堪重负,跳楼自杀了!

在**的结尾作者写道:如果学不好一门外来语言,就不能在本国社会上立足,这话恐怕在任何一个国度都说不通,但却真实的存在于有着五千年文化历史的中国!这真是莫大的悲哀!

我深有同感!而实际上被英语逼上绝路的学生又何止他一人?

我还记得高二时,曾看到一位学者的一句话,让我很感动:今天我们努力学英语,是为了将来更多的外国人学汉语!也是因为这,每当我看到中学语文课本中很难懂的知识点时,我却很高兴,因为我想的是,越难将来那些外国佬想学好就更难了!

让他们学文言文,背得太多了!妈的,我学英语这么多年了。我们需要用利息把它赚回来!我坚信:

在不久的将来,随着中国国际地位的提高,汉语也将大受欢迎!风靡全球将不再是神话,现在的孔子学院在世界各地扎根就是一个很好的例证!

但是要想将此种情景变成现实,我认为还需要两个前提,在说这两个前提之前,我想先提及一个我特别崇拜的学者——辜鸿铭

20世纪初,西方人曾流传一句话:到中国可以不看三大殿,不可不看辜鸿铭。

辜鸿铭何许人也?他出生在南洋,在西方学习,在东洋结婚,在北洋做官。精通英、法、德、拉丁、希腊、马来亚等9种语言,获13个博士学位,倒读英文报纸嘲笑英国人,说美国人没有文化,第一个将中国的《论语》、《中庸》用英文和德文翻译到西方。

凭三寸不烂之舌,向日本首相伊藤博文大讲孔学,与文学大师列夫·托尔斯泰书信来往,讨论世界文化和**局势,被印度圣雄甘地称为“最尊贵的中国人”。

他的父亲曾在祖先牌位前焚香告诫他说:“不论你走到**,不论你身边是英国人,德国人还是法国人,都不要忘了,你是中国人。”虽然当时的中国很落后,很贫穷,但是他对祖国的热爱之情却从未消褪!

这一点让我尤为佩服。

在辜鸿铭的著作中,他从独特的视角出发,把中国人和美国人、英国人、德国人、法国人进行了对比,凸显出中国人的特征之所在:美国人博大、纯朴,但不深沉;英国人深沉、纯朴,却不博大;德国人博大、深沉,而不纯朴;法国人没有德国人天然的深沉,不如美国人心胸博大和英国人心地纯朴,却拥有这三个民族所缺乏的灵敏;只有中国人有这四个优秀的精神特质。也正因如此,辜鸿铭说,中国人给人留下的总体印象是“温良”,“那种难以言表的温良”。

在中国人温良的形象背后,隐藏着他们“纯真的赤子之心”和“成年人的智慧”。辜鸿铭写道,中国人“过着孩子般的生活——一种心灵的生活”。看看,他说得多好啊!

但是,如果广告不出去,人们就不知道我们这么好!这必须提到第一个前提:你的汉语知识尚可,以后谈中国文化时不会感到无语!

现在很多小孩连话都说不清楚,却在被逼学英语,其父母还美其名曰:与国际接轨!那些孩子太可怜了,连自己的名字都不会写,只好学abc!

在我看来,汉语不过关的中国人哪有什么资格学外语?真是忘本了!同时想到这是多么可怕的事情啊!

英语不仅是一种语言,也是一种文化!这是文化渗透!说真的,那些哈韩和哈瑞人不是中毒太多了吗?

民族归属感太淡薄了!但是孩子们没有判断力,没有抵抗力,只有依靠我们,依靠我们弘扬中华民族的深厚文化!

如何发扬?除了能吸收,还要能吐出来!怎么吐出来?既然英语是全世界通用的语言,我们必须先学好英语!别无它法!这就是我想说的第二个前提!

这两个前提构成了我们对英语的蔑视!没有这个资格,就没有蔑视!就像您只能骑自行车并评论街上行驶的宝马和奥拓。

老兄,你够格吗?买辆法拉利在街上跑!

很荣幸今天有这个机会和大家学习交流。

我踏上这份工作已经11年了。由于工作需要,我三年前开始教小学英语。让我谈谈我在英语教学中的一些实践。如有不妥之处,希望在座各位领导老师指正。

我认为,要想把学生教好,首先要努力学习专业知识,提高自己的文化素养。同时,作为一名教师,你必须用心去爱、关心和教育每一个学生,让他们先接受你,再接受你所教的科目。

其次,我认为也是最重要的部分,那就是在每一堂英语课上努力学习。我认为一堂好的英语课应该从以下几个方面进行规划和设计:

首先,采用灵活的教学方法,引入新的课程

俗话说:好的开始是一半完毕。所以,我总是巧妙地设定起点,抓住头部,在最短的时间内进入最佳学习状态。我经常使用:

1.歌曲风格导入,

2.问题式导入,

3。导入图片、幻灯片等视听方式,

4.悬念导入,

5。回顾导入等。这样的介绍往往会给学生带来亲切的感觉,给人留下难忘的印象,是一个艺术的开端,能让学生自然进入学习新知识的境地,能激发学生的学习兴趣情感、兴趣和好奇的欲望。

第二,创造一个真实多彩的情境,感知和使用语言

在小学英语教学中,创造一个让学生感知语言的情境,在实际情况中使用语言可能会产生意想不到的结果。在课堂上,我经常使用各种教具和方法,突破教学的重点和难点,将文字、声音、图像等融为一体,营造学生积极参与语言交际活动的局面,所以让学生进入情境,了解情境,执行情境。这突破了语言的概念。学生更容易进入真实情境中的角色,课堂气氛也很活跃。

我要求学生善用语言、表情、动作、姿势,并借助生活中的具体事物创造丰富多彩的语言情境,让学生在情境中感知-模拟-巩固教学氛围——反复练习,最终达到学习交流的目的。比如在低年级教授问候时,我设计了一个问候七个小矮人的场景,让学生戴上头饰扮演小矮人的角色,伴随着欢乐的“士兵行军”,学生们遇到了熟悉的童话人物他们欣喜若狂,争先恐后地用学过的英语打招呼,积极调动主观能动性。

三、充分利用课外时间,打造使用英语的舞台

小学英语每周四节课的教学,从时间上看,确实很差。学生掌握了语言,很少有机会使用语言。

课外活动可以丰富和丰富学生的学习生活。为开阔视野,增强学习兴趣、集体凝聚力、同学间的互助和竞争,我的具体做法是:

(1)开展“英语角”活动。在一周的适当时间,聚集全校英语爱好者开展“英语角”活动。在活动中,让学生按照一定的话题或自由地说英语,鼓励他们多说。不要害怕犯错误。这样就达到了训练的目的。

(2) 安排英文短剧。我还让学生写一些比较简单的英文短剧。时机成熟,我组织全校学生参加英语小品表演比赛,并邀请其他老师和学生家长观看学生表演。家长可以在家长面前充分展示自己的学习成果,体验能听懂会说英语的乐趣,激发他们进一步学习英语的愿望。

总之,让学生愿意学英语,善于学英语,真正成为英语学习的小高手,让学生在每一堂课的教学中始终保持积极的学习动力,在完成任务的过程中体验学习成功的喜悦,从而提高和发展学生的综合能力。
