1、在小学英语教学的整体目标上不仅仅是关注小学生知识有所得，能力有所提高，更重要的是要使小学生能够认识自我，建立自信，拥有学习英语的兴趣。同时要让小学生在学习英语的过程中，形成适合自己的学习策略。换句话说小学英语教师一定要关注学生健康人格的发展，既要从事教学活动，又要从事教育活动。

我认为想学好英语大致可按以下的方法去学习：

第一，掌握、熟通英语单词。这是学好英语的第一步，所以必须要把这块基石打好，如果不牢固的话，那也就没有必要天天高谈阔论地说：“想学好英语。”所以，课上一定要牢记单词，课后抽出10分钟左右的时间做复习。加深印象，巩固记忆。除此之外，还应加强对文章的阅读，增大词汇面。

第二，听力。我自认为听力很可怕，很难，但拿破仑说难一字只有在愚人的字典里才有的。我想了许多方法来提高听力水平。最后总结出以下几点：
