I'm fortunate enough to work in the rehab facility, so I get to see people who are facing life and death with addiction. But then, they hear from all the family and friends that the father told everybody else that he was proud of him, but he never told the son. It's because he didn't know that his son needed to hear it.

The decrease in air quality, the climate change, medical waste, noise and water pollution, and even food poisoning has added to the list of growing concerns to our living environment. Human are not supernatural beings, thus these problems have affected pretty much every matter. We upgrade gadgets and make full use of newer technologies, but we pay for the consequences in turn. For instance, the advent of batteries and machinery has caused million tons of water become toxxic and undrinkable, further aggravating the already serious condition of water shortage and poisoning in several countries. The over-production and over-use of transportation vehicles and electricity has contributed to the Global Warming and caused myriads of species to disappear from the face of the earth due to home-loss and temperature change. We have brought wonders to the world, but have also destroyed miracles of nature. We are concerned about our nutritional intake and exxercise all the time, so why shouldn't we care about the conditions of our living planet as well?

Time is ticking on. We shouldn't put off the whole "save the environment" affair any longer. Please, do what feels right in our hearts, even though it is only a tiny matter. Save up resources, promote the recycling and reusing of products, and always remember to take some time off going into the woods and breathe in the sweetness in the air. We have come from the woods, thus we would all have a secret desire in our hearts to harmonize with nature again. Remember, every little thing matters.

suddenly, my world opened up and i became a different type of person. i wanted to know all about their lives – where they came from, what their parents did, and why they had come to my country.

today, china is opening up, and as a country you are in the world spotlight. many foreigners are fascinated by china and the lives of chinese people. and in turn, you should be interested in their lives - where they are from and what their countries are like.

never be afraid to ask questions. most foreigners are very happy to talk about their home countries, and share their knowledge and wisdom – and you can learn more about a country from one person than you can learn from fifty books.

i have learned a lot about education in china since coming to this country, and i am very grateful for the tremendous support our a-level centre has received from xinghai school. i have broadened my international field of vision. and in turn, by taking an interest in and embracing another culture, so you can broaden yours.

We should learn from failure ,learn from every mistake and learn how to be a good loser. That’s what I'll be talking about today. That's our lesson to learn. Let me tell you why.

First, losing is a part of life. It is unavoidable. It is something we all must face. Everybody loses sometimes. Every great person knows this truth. So don't be ashamed of losing. Losing doesn't mean you're a loser.

Second, don’t escape from it, just accept it. Losing is beneficial and can be helpful to you. We just view it as a learning experience. Losing is a chance to learn. You can learn how to try again and improve.

Third, practice makes perfect. Create challenges for yourself. Never be afraid of failure. Lose as much as you can. Losing only makes you better. That is a great secret of success.

In conclusion, remember these. You will be a good loser. It might be painful at first. But it will get easier as you go along. You'll be respected and admired. You'll feel so achievement to learn so much. You are not the real failure ,you will be a winner in future.

But to his disappointment, he was not even allowed the chance for an interview! The third time he was turned down, he couldn’t help telephoning the company to ask why they didn’t want him. The answer was simple, “We don’t hire dishonest people in Germany.”

What was wrong you might wonder? The truth is, shortly aften he arrived in Germany, this clever student found that it was easy to skip buying subway tickets. So, to save money, he often went without a ticket. As a result, he had been caught without a ticket in the subway three times.

From this story, we learn that we may get short-term benefits by dishonest means, but the truth will come out sooner or later and the cost is high. So remember: honest is the best policy.
