Dear,
Hi,everybody!
I enter tile university after years of hard study and preparation. But life in the university is not as satisfactory as what I had expected. I become lazy and dont want to study.I become silcent. I become puzzled. I dont know what I can do in the future. Then I become unhappy.
Four years in the university is only a short period when compared my whole lifetime. Now it has passed a half. In this year, many people ,such as my parents,my friends, ask me what I want to do and tell me to map out a plan for my life. I dont want to follow their suggestion, and I want to go my style. So I think carefully. I have been a young volunteer for five years. Its very happy and significant. Then I have a dream.I want to join the University Student Volunteers Go West Programe. I think I can be a teacher in the west.I want to try my best to help them and help me. I want to see the world cearly. Now I cant reach its demand and its very diffcult, but I will work hard in the next two years. There is an old saying"where there is a will, there is a way."I think my dream can come ture. Now in the university I mature, and in the university I prepare for the real world.
At last,I want to say to everybody"Hlod fast to your dreams,no matter how big or small they are.The path to dreams may not be smooth and wide, even some sacrifices are needed. But hold on to the end,you can find there is no geater happiness than making your dream come ture."
Thank you!
Ladies and Gentlemen:
Good afternoon! I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is “youth”. I hope you will like it , and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it. Do you know what is youth? How do you master your youth?
Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life .
Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . Nobody grows old merely by a number of years . We grow old by deserting our ideals.
Years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . Worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust .
Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .
When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.
Thank you!
It is certainly unlucky for anyone to be stolen from. However, President Roosevelt had three reasons to be grateful. This story tells us we should learn to be grateful in our life. There is a sentence from Mahatma Gandhi:“Live as you were to die tomorrow, learn as you were to live forever. ” Great people are always showing their love to the world, just as Gandhi, Mother Teresa, Norman Bethune and so on. How about us?
You can not do everything, but still you can do something. So, be grateful to your life, all the people and things in your life.
Be grateful to the nature, for the fresh air you breathe, the clean water you drink, the beautiful flower you smell.
Be grateful to your parents, for they gave birth to you and taught you right from wrong.
Be grateful to your teachers, for they let you understand “what”,“how”and“why” with great patience.
Be grateful to your friends, for you have known each other since you were 9 or 10 and faced the difficulties together for so many years.
Mother Teresa once said:“People really need help, but may attack you if you help them. Help people anyway; Give the world the best you have and you may get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you have anyway.” At last I want to say: being grateful can bring us a better and more beautiful life. Why don’t we have a try?let,s get it started! Be grateful to your lover, for he/she gave you love and helped you find the sun every time you were down.
Dear:
Good morning! First thing first, I gotta say, wow,it's funny thing to be given a chance like that.Trurh be told,I really got a little bit nervous before I stand right here ,so called 'stage fright'.If you look specifically on me .You may find my hands shaking, pretty assembles the guy who suffered from Pakinson's disease, and legs wobbling ,like I caught so-called ball leg. Okay, let's stop going around the bush and get back to my topic today.
I really like to talk a funny story I have just heard.A lady called Lucy emigrated to United States several years ago.Her spoken English is not that fluent .And one day,she is just sitting on the couch with his U.S friends Mandy watching Sit-Com.A noise of bump had the attention of Mandy, which led her to go out of the house trying to figure out what had happened.
Can you imagine that Mandy go straight out with merely a sweater. So Lucy shouted at her,"Lucy ,turn your clothes on." What suprised her most, beyond her wildest imagination, is that almost all the male in this country took their head out of the window.Admittedly,Lucy made a mistake here .The word spitted means Mandy is totally naked to the reason that male looked out of the window. The right sentence shall be,"put your clothing on."The story inspires you to take a careful look on the vast difference between eastern and western culture. That's full of it,thank you for your time!

WE AND OUR YELLOW RIVER: THRIVING TOGETHER
Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. The issue of the Yellow River has become the biggest concern of members of the Chinese peoples Political Consultative Conference. My childhood, in fact, is closely associated with the river. My father is an engineering geologist, and he used to take me with him on his trips to the hydropower stations on the river. I enjoyed those trips, especially the trip to Longyang Xia reservoir. Although ten years have passed since my visit, I can still recall the scenery; I can still recall the water I saw at the reservoir. It was pure, clean and blue, not like the water I saw in the middle reaches of the river, which had turned brown and muddy after passing through the Loess Plateau.
Once during our stay at the power station, we were caught in a thunderstorm. And when rain stopped, I could see trickles of water rolling down mountain slopes and flowing into the reservoir. It carried little mud or sand, because at that time, trees and grass still grew around the reservoir. And they protected the soil. At Longyang Xia I was struck by the beauty of nature, and as a child I wanted to stay there and to grow up with our Yellow River.
Li Bai, the Tang Dynasty poet, said praises to the flowing water in the Yellow River. He saw it as coming down from heaven and nurturing the people along her way to the sea. However, in 1997,for 330days, not a single drop of water from the Yellow River went into the sea. And droughts are not the only punishment by nature. A friend of my fathers, a university professor, is doing research on the Yellow River. According to this professor, the Yellow River will soon change its course if we allow this situation to continue. Because there is no longer enough water to carry away the silt and mud in the lower reaches of the river and the riverbed rises higher and higher each year.
We have taken too much from nature, but given back too little in return. And this is the cost of the unbalanced growth. If we had taken care of the vegetation in the upper and middle reaches of the Yellow River, we would still experience the river as Li Bai described it.
While the developed countries are consuming proportionally more natural resources than the rest of the world, theyve also taken some good measures in protecting nature. And as a developing country, China can learn from them in this aspect.
Last year, when I was visiting Australia with a group of Chinese students who had won prizes in an English Skills Test, our Australian hosts invited us to join them for a horse-ride in the mountains. After two hours on horseback, we reached a valley, where there was a most beautiful meadow, with flowers in all colors dotted on a huge blanket of green. When I began to praise the beauty of nature, my friends told me that in this valley, there used to be a big mine and the wastewater from the mine turned everything brown. When the mine was abandoned, people made great efforts to restore the green vegetation. They also used the latest biological technology choosing the best grass seeds suitable for the local soil. So the beautiful meadow is a result of commitment, hard work, and new technology.
What happened to this valley in Australia should also happen to our Yellow River and, in fact, it is happening. I have seen farmers planting trees on mountains along the Yellow River. I have seen them climb the mountain tops with seedlings on their shoulders because they had no machinery. I have seen them pour on trees the water they had carried up in buckets from miles down the valley. These farmers are quietly nourishing our Yellow River, just as the river has nourished them.
And these farmers, men and women I dont know, gave me the confidence that we and our Yellow River will grow together, and someday in the future, we will be able to drink the clean water from our Yellow River again, because she is our dearest mother.
Thank you.

Hello everyone!
Youth is a thought-provoking term, it is the beautiful scenery of life, and on the road of youth, we have too many dreams. Like flowers just blooming in the morning sun, we have not yet grown and matured, like eagles soaring at dusk, we have shed our childishness. In this confused age, I have dreams.
In my youth, I had rebellion. I am no longer the child who cried to my parents when I was a child, but as an adolescent, I prefer to write my worries in my own diary. Sometimes, facing the scolding of parents, one may even want to leave this confined home. In the eyes of this stubborn young man, education is rigid. But every time I see my mothers busy figure in the kitchen, or my fathers tired hair growing on his temples, my heart swells and even feels guilty. Youth taught me that when I make mistakes, I must bow my head and acknowledge them. This is not a loss of self-esteem, even if my parents are strict, there is still a heart of great love hidden behind them. So, learning to be grateful is my dream.
In my youth, I had fashion. I dont like a monotonous life. I enjoy traveling and experiencing the charm of the blue sea and sky, as well as the breath of the wind. I feel youth in the colorful nature; I like music, I like classical lyrics and moving vocals, understanding youth in the beating melody. So, the taste of beauty is my dream.
In my youth, I have more passion. In this youthful season, dreams are like beautiful and enchanting roses with thorns. If you want to pick them, you must be careful and put in effort. I have a passion for my dreams, and I will gradually build the castle that belongs to my dreams, never stopping.
Youth, dreams are on the road.

Today, I would like to talk to you about the topic of patriotism. Now we are in a new era, our motherland is developing rapidly, the economy is rising, and its international influence is increasing. As Chinese citizens, we have an immensely glorious mission, which is to love our country. Patriotism is a moral quality that everyone should possess, and it is the core of the spirit of patriotism.
So, what is patriotism? Patriotism is the consciousness and emotion of loving the motherland, respecting leaders, supporting the leadership of the Party, and safeguarding national interests. As students, we should actively study, work hard, and make our own contributions to the development of our country in the future. At the same time, we should also demonstrate our patriotism through practical actions, such as protecting the environment, complying with laws, and cherishing resources.

Dear teachers and fellow students
What is integrity? Honesty is a clear spring flowing on the barren land; Honesty is a plum blossom blooming proudly in the winter and winter months; Honesty is an eternal light ahead like beans when walking at night; Integrity is a lighthouse that navigates through the ever-changing sea of people.
In my life, there have also been incidents related to integrity.
It was a sunny afternoon, and I went to Rizhi Bookstore to buy things as usual. After selecting the products and settling the bill, I happily went home. When I got home, I suddenly found a transparent adhesive on my wrist. Oh, I didnt even count the money! I immediately grabbed the transparent adhesive and wanted to go back and pay, but at that moment, I hesitated and said, "Just these two or three yuan, its not a big deal, forget it
One minute, two minutes, three minutes... Time flows awkwardly, like an hourglass falling into my restless heart. I took out a book that I love to read and asked it to dispel my anxiety, but I couldnt bear to read it at all, and my mind was always full of wild thoughts. Suddenly, I saw every word in the book stand up and point at me, cursing loudly, "Youre such a person, we look down on you!" I quickly covered my ears, threw down the book, and ran into the living room. I turned on the TV, oh my god! The people inside seem to be discussing me, even my favorite cartoon characters "Cassius" and "Black" are no exception. Some of them look at me with strange eyes, as if blaming me; Some of them showed strange smiles, as if mocking me. I quickly turned off the TV, my heart was beating fast, no way! I cant lose my integrity just because of two or three yuan. Lets go pay and not be greedy for this small advantage. I have made up my mind to go to Rizhi Bookstore to pay.
At the Rizhi Bookstore, I handed over the transparent adhesive and took out the money, saying sincerely, "Auntie, I forgot to pay for the transparent adhesive when I just bought something. Now Ill pay you." Auntie took the money and said to me, "Okay, kid!" Hearing these words, I felt relieved and relieved, as if a big stone had been lifted from my heart.
Classmates, pick up our honest backpack! Overcome storms with our integrity, and create a better life with our integrity!
My speech is over, thank you all for listening.
Dear teachers and students
Hello everyone!
The topic of my speech today is Cherish Time .
When the bright sunshine blooms with its smiling face, when a gentle breeze brushes your cheeks, classmates, do you feel that the small yellow buds on the branches are the smile of spring? Is the cute little bird in the sky the heartbeat of spring? Yes, spring is beautiful! However, can we keep this beautiful spring forever? Gorky once said, "The fastest and slowest, longest and shortest, most ordinary and precious, most easily overlooked and regretful thing in the world is time." This sentence tells us to cherish time.
Cherish time is the rational use of time. Time is important to each and every one of us, it doesnt stop for anyone. When washing my face and brushing my teeth in the morning, time slips away from the basin; When eating, time slips away from your rice bowl; When you sleep, time slips away from your dreams again. Do you want to maintain time? Then you have to manage your own time. As Mr. Lu Xun said, "Time is like water in a sponge. As long as you are willing to squeeze, there will always be some.
Yeah! Time is the most just judge. No matter if you are rich or poor, you will be given fair time. There are 365 days in a year, 24 hours per day, and 3600 seconds per hour. It depends on how you arrange it reasonably. Perhaps some people will create a great invention on this day, while others may do nothing and waste a day. Why do people get different results at the same time? For example, students in a class study and live together every day, in the same environment, in the same courses, and with the same teachers. Why do some students study well and some students dont?
Thats because some people make full use of every minute in class, listen attentively, think seriously, and even spend other peoples playing time on reading, so they gain more! Flowers bloom and wither, grass turns green again, but when will they come back? Time goes by and never comes back, so lets not postpone todays work until tomorrow because there are still things to do tomorrow.
Time is both short and eternal, and its existence itself is a hope. Dont be afraid of the ruthlessness of time, and dont feel the brevity of time. An inch of time is an inch of gold but you cant buy that inch of time with an inch of gold We should cherish the wonderful time we have. I hope everyone cherishes every minute of themselves, braving the wind and waves with the rising rhythm, and letting the boat of life sail away with time.
My speech is over, thank you everyone!
It's my honor to speak here and I am very glad to share my topic with all of you. Today I'd like to talk about “my dream”. I do not just have one dream, in fact, I have three. They are: a healthy life, a happy family and to travel my great country.
I have always admired the long healthy life my grandparents have. They are older than 80 years of age and they are still alive and kicking! How do they do that!? My grandparents plant vegetables and grow rice themselves; even in their old age they still make food for themselves! I guess that is why they can remain healthy. More importantly they remain humble and never ask for too much from life. Perhaps that makes them common, but they live a happy life. My grandmother once told me this:” I do not want to live long, only long enough for some grand children to be running around in my house”. I want to live a long, healthy and happy life just as they have.
Since my graduation from primary school, until now, every time on my birthday I make the same wish. I wish my parents will not fight anymore. I am not complaining that they gave me a bad childhood, they just fight so much! I am unhappy but that does not mean they do not love me. They do! They love me with all their heart. I love my parents also; I want them to live a happy life as well.
I want to travel this great country of ours. I want to see the beauty of our country. I want to see the miracles that made this country great! I want to go from the east to west, from the north all the way down to the south! I have a dream, that one day I can travel and see my country with my family and friends! If that is not possible, seeing my country on my own is good enough also. If I can fulfill all three of my dreams in life, then God can take me away. I would be happy, and l would have lived a full and prosperous life.
Thank you everyone for listening to my dreams.
I thank you!
So what‟s my Chinese dream ? Finally I will announce.
We had learned a lot of knowledge and understood a lot of truth in the book. We had a basic concept to our country at that time. We know that our country is full of sunshine , and we are the future of our country, and our dreams are to be the hope of our motherland.
However,We don't know what time to start,We are grow up,Life became not the same, though we don‟t want to admit, it‟s the truth that our mind and attitude to our country is changing. Our society became full of deception, indifference, intrigue, pressure, corruption, sinister, and we became irritable and not calm, detest the world and its ways. Our country seems to have become in a disastrous state too. A lot of young students who were nurtured by our motherland became impatient, let alone what are their dreams , what is the china dream ?
I was surprised ,when the old man fell down in the street,We are afraid to help him.I was disappointed ,when someone do good things were reported, many people think he was affectation, I was sad, when I saw many of young people become indifferent ,fraud and lack of ideal.
Are we sick, or is our dear motherland sick?
The Importance of confidence
Whatever one does, one should do it with confidence. If one has no confidence, there is little possibility that one would ever achieve anything, especially when one is faced with drawbacks or hardships. This truth seems to be evident. However, in reality we do see a lot of people who complain that they like the ability to do something or that their difficulties are too great to be overcome. For someone, this might be true. But for many others, this only shows that they have lost heart.
Why do people often feel frustrated even though they are capable of doing something? There are, among others, two main reasons. First, these people do have a correct estimate of themselves. Second, they overestimate the difficulties.
It is possible to build up faith in oneself by having the right attitude towards one’s abilities. We should never underestimate one’s abilities. But believe in the proverb: “Where there is a will, there is a way.” Confidence is the promise for fulfilling a task successfully.
I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank President Bush for his service to our nation, as well as the generosity and cooperation he has shown throughout this transition.
Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging storms. At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because we the people have remained faithful to the ideals of our forebears, and true to our founding documents.
So it has been. So it must be with this generation of Americans.
That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost; s shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly; our schools fail too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet.
These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics. Less measurable but no less profound is a sapping of confidence across our land — a nagging fear that Americas decline is inevitable, and that the next generation must lower its sights.
Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America — they will be met.
On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.
On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics.
We remain a young nation, but in the words of Scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.
In reaffirming the greatness of our nation, we understand that greatness is never a given. It must be earned. Our journey has never been one of shortcuts or settling for less. It has not been the path for the faint-hearted — for those who prefer leisure over work, or seek only the pleasures of riches and fame. Rather, it has been the risk-takers, the doers, the makers of things — some celebrated but more often men and women obscure in their labor, who have carried us up the long, rugged path towards prosperity and freedom.
For us, they packed up their few worldly possessions and traveled across oceans in search of a new life.
For us, they toiled in sweatshops and settled the West; endured the lash of the whip and plowed the hard earth.
For us, they fought and died, in places like Concord and Gettysburg; Normandy and Khe Sahn.
Time and again these men and women struggled and sacrificed and worked till their hands were raw so that we might live a better life. They saw America as bigger than the sum of our individual ambitions; greater than all the differences of birth or wealth or faction.
This is the journey we continue today. We remain the most prosperous, powerful nation on Earth. Our workers are no less productive than when this crisis began. Our minds are no less inventive, our goods and services no less needed than they were last week or last month or last year. Our capacity remains undiminished. But our time of standing pat, of protecting narrow interests and putting off unpleasant decisions — that time has surely passed. Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America.
For everywhere we look, there is work to be done. The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act — not only to create new s, but to lay a new foundation for growth. We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together. We will restore science to its rightful place, and wield technologys wonders to raise health cares quality and lower its cost. We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories. And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age. All this we can do. All this we will do.
Now, there are some who question the scale of our ambitions — who suggest that our system cannot tolerate too many big plans. Their memories are short. For they have forgotten what this country has already done; what free men and women can achieve when imagination is joined to common purpose, and necessity to courage.
What the cynics fail to understand is that the ground has shifted beneath them — that the stale political arguments that have consumed us for so long no longer apply. The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works — whether it helps families find s at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified. Where the answer is yes, we intend to move forward. Where the answer is no, programs will end. Those of us who manage the publics dollars will be held to account — to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day — because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.
Nor is the question before us whether the market is a force for good or ill. Its power to generate wealth and expand freedom is unmatched, but this crisis has reminded us that without a watchful eye, the market can spin out of control — and that a nation cannot prosper long when it favors only the prosperous. The success of our economy has always depended not just on the size of our gross domestic product, but on the reach of our prosperity; on our ability to extend opportunity to every willing heart — not out of charity, but because it is the surest route to our common good.
As for our common defense, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals. Our founding fathers ... our found fathers, faced with perils we can scarcely imagine, drafted a charter to assure the rule of law and the rights of man, a charter expanded by the blood of generations. Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expediences sake. And so to all the other peoples and governments who are watching today, from the grandest capitals to the small village where my father was born: know that America is a friend of each nation and every man, woman, and child who seeks a future of peace and dignity, and that we are ready to lead once more.
Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.
Thank you very much for your attention。
