Good afternoon, dear teachers, leaders, parents and my lovely classmates.

我是来自会展1202班的李海薇,今天我非常荣幸能作为会展经济与管理专业2012级全体毕业生的代表在这个具有特殊意义的典礼上发言。

I’m Li Haiwei from IEMS class 2. Today, it’s absolutely a great honor for me todeliver this speech on such a meaningful ceremony here, as the representative of all our IEMS 2012 graduates.

Firstof all, please allow me, on behalf of all our graduates, to express the sincerestgratitude and respect to every professor, teacher and faculty leader who alwayspay close attention to our development as well as give us helping hands wheneverwe need. Because of your cultivation and instruction, we got our wonderful collegelife in these four years. At the same time, I want to show gratitude to all ofour parents whether you are present today or not, also on behalf of allgraduates. Only with your most solid support, we could experience our four-year comfortable campus life here in SUIBE.

Howtime flies! It’s now the forth summer that we spent together.

2012年9月1日的骄阳,在记忆中格外清晰。四年前的那一天或许是许多同学一生中最后一次成为新生的日子。来自五湖四海的我们带着各自对过去的留念和对未来的憧憬来到向往已久的大学,初见面时的生涩,军训汇操时的团结,班级活动时的热络,大一的我们就这样默默地在时间的催化下走近彼此。见证着母校由上海对外贸易学院更名为上海对外经贸大学,进入大二的我们褪去了些许稚嫩,开始为自己的未来寻找合适的'路,而面对着越来越多来自学业与社会的双重压力,我们的素质与能力也在无形中不断提升。第三年的我们愈发地紧张与忙碌起来,而眼神中却满是坚定,不再迷茫,走在追求未来的路上,我们初尝人生的酸甜苦辣,哪怕遇到挫折,我们也能积极面对。2015年9月,目睹着新一届大一新生报道,我们终于成为校园里最老的学长学姐,这一年的时间我总觉得是过得最快的,似乎前一秒大家都还在为理想的学校或职位做着最后的冲刺,这一秒就真的要踏出这个熟悉的校园,挥手说再见了。曾经想象中漫长却精彩的四年大学生活,就在弹指一挥间全部变成了回忆。

On Sept. 1st, 2012, the bright sunshine on that day is still in mind,clear and deep. That special day may be the last time for many of my classmates to become freshmen in their whole lifetime. From all around China, each of us came to the university that we have made efforts to enter for over 10 years, with everyone’s own yearn for the past and longing for the future. From theunfamiliarity of the first met, the unity of military training, to thefriendliness of class activities, we, as freshmen, became closer and closer toeach other under the catalysis of time, even without our notice. Witnessed our‘Shanghai Institute of Foreign Trade’ being renamed ‘Shanghai University ofInternational Business and Economics’, we entered the second year here with lessnaivety, and started to seek the proper way out for the future. In the meantime, facing the heavier and heavier double pressure from academic work andsociety, our personal qualities and abilities were improving imperceptibly. In the third year, although we were busier and busier, there was determinationinstead of confusion in our eyes. Moving forward on the way of chasing dreams,we inevitably tasted the bitterness and happiness of life. Whatever setbacks wemet, we tried to struggle and face them positively. In Sept. 2015, with the orientation of the newest freshmen, we finally became the senior here oncampus. I always feel that it is the fastest year that I have ever experienced.It seems that the first second all of us were still fighting for dream schoolsor jobs, the next second we are here almost ready to step out of the campus,waving hands to say goodbye. The once imagined long but colorful universitylife has almost changed into memory at this very moment.

如今行走在校园里,或许你会想再去吃一顿食堂的小炒,或许你会想起那些年还枝繁叶茂的六百万,又或许你会沿着那熟悉的晨跑线路再走上一遭。但我能确定的是,在座同学不会忘记我们永远的教学楼D408,不会忘记外教课上自己做的一次比一次好的演讲,当然也不会忘记图书馆里认真写毕业论文的自己和答辩侯场时的紧张。因为这些是专属于我们2012级IEMSer的共同回忆。

Today,when walking on campus, maybe you want to have a meal in school canteen again,perhaps you can still remember the flourishing look of the trees in front of the Information Building, or it is probable that you want to run for the last time along the routine of morning jogging. But, what I can confirm is that all of our graduates here can never forget our fixed classroom SD408, can never forget the so many presentations we have done on our German Professors’ classes and the better and better performance of ourselves, and, of course, can never forget the time we spent writing bachelor thesis in the library as well as the memorable feeling of extremely nervous when waiting for the oral defense. Because we are all named IEMSer 2012, and all of these are our exclusive memories.

从接触会展这个专业开始,就好像被打开了一扇门,里面有一个五彩缤纷的世界。在经验丰富的中德双方专业老师的引领下,我们开始探索,开始遨游,甚至开始实践。还记得我们在外教课上开始尝试着运用肢体语言的技巧,作为实践课去新国际博览中心给展会挑刺,去领略世博展览中心作为一个场馆的现代与专业。甚至我们当中的一些人,在老师的指导下策划组织过校园美妆展和我们盛大的毕业晚会,发挥专业所长来让我们的大学生活更加出彩。同时,作为一名IEMSer,除了专业外,另一个不得不提的就是我们会展与旅游学院了。我相信,作为会旅学院的一份子,大家一定都感受过学院大家庭的温暖,无论是来自院领导与辅导员的关心,学长学姐的指导,还是院学生会的帮助。

From the very start that we got in touch of this Event major, it just like a door toan amazing world was opened, and in this world, it has countless possibilities.Under the guidance of our experienced professional teachers from both China and Germany, we started to explore, to roam and even to put the knowledge into practice.Still remember we tried to use body language naturally while communicating on our German professors’ classes, we tried to pick holes on the exhibition heldin SNIEC, and we learnt the modernity and professionalism of Expo Center as avenue from our own experience. Furthermore, some of us got the chance to get involved in organizing and holding the Campus Beauty Show or our Graduation Gala Dinner under the instruction of our teachers. It allows us to take the advantage of our professional ideas to enrich our college life. At the sametime, as an IEMSer, besides the major, our Event and Tourism Faculty also mustbe mentioned here. I believe that, as a student in our faculty, each of our graduates should have experienced the warm of this big family, whatever it’s the caring from the leaders or our instructor, the guidance from elder schoolmates,or the help from the faculty’s Student Union.

回顾四年,我们在蜕变,在成长,在或许布有荆棘的路上一点点地成为了现在最好的自己。而此刻,我们站在要分别的路口,毕业的欣喜却似乎掩饰不了离别时的留恋与不舍。我想在座毕业生大概和我一样,不舍IEMSer这个名字,不舍总是尊尊教诲的老师,不舍朝夕相处的同学朋友,不舍这个无比熟悉的大学校园。然而,时间却从不会因为离别的愁意渐浓而停下来等等我们,大学生活结束了,新的挑战又会开始。我们能做的,只有把所有的离愁别绪化为最最美好的祝愿。祝我们2012级全体毕业生前程似锦!祝我们敬爱的老师事事顺心!祝我们亲爱的会旅学院和上贸大越来越好!

Looking back on these four years, we were always changing and maturing, and we finally became the best ourselves step by step on this thorny road. But at this moment,we are standing at the crossing to say goodbye, the joy of graduation seems cannot cover our sadness and unwillingness to leave. I think graduates here aremostly feeling the same like me, unwilling to abandon the title of IEMSer, unwilling to be apart from dear teachers and friends, and unwilling to leave this very familiarcampus. However, time never slows its pace and waits for us due to our sadness.Our college life has already finished, while the new challenge will start soon.The only thing we can do now is to turn our sorrow of parting into all the bestwishes. Wish all our 2012 graduates can have a bright future! May our dearteachers will get everything goes well in your career and life! As one of the parents concerning the development of the university, we are really glad that the university and IEMS program are constantly converging resources of goodquality. With the exploration and innovation in such aspects as teaching staff,curriculum settings and cultivating mode, the university has provided favorable studying conditions and growth environment where the children have spent four years there studying happily and diligently. Specialized courses are taught in English by both German and Chinese teachers, which have equipped the students with international horizons.

hello, dear teacher and fellow students. it is my honor to be here on this beautiful and sunny afternoon to share with you my view on our future.

recently, there is a heated debate in our society. the college students are the beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education at extraordinary places. but will we be able to face the challenges and support ourselves against all odds?

will we be able to better the lives of others? will we be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of our country?

the cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, which would cringe at the sligh test dis***fort. but the cynics are wrong. the college students i see are eagerly learning about how to live independently and seeking for the new world.

we help each other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take part time jobs to supplement our pocket money.

the cynics say we care for nothing other than entertainment; and we neglect the need for character cultivation. but again, the cynics are wrong. we care deeply for each other, we love freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth.

last week, some of my fellow students had their blood type tested in order to make a contribution for the children who suffer from blood cancer. besides,some of us have ever been volunteers and they will continue helping others.

as college students, we are adolescents at the critical turning point in our lives. we all face a fundamental choice: cynici** or faith, each will deeply impact our future, or even the future of our country.

one night, i ***plained to my mom about the lack of time. finally she said,"you are short of time just because you waste precious minutes on ***plaints and anxiety. the point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard, you can always fit in some thing more.

"it is the same with filling the jar. even if you place a dozen fist-sized rocks and a bucket of gravel into the jar, there is still space for sand and water between the rocks and gravel.

the lack of time is just the excuse for my negligence of every single minute. i believe that the great dividing line between success and failure can be expressed in six words,"i did not have enough time."the fact is i do have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to helen keller, pasteur, thomas jefferson, and albert einstein.

the point is i have never touched upon the real meaning of life which lies in snatching, seizing and enjoying every minute of it. no idleness, no delay, no procrastination, no ***plaint! it is during my moments of ***plaining or hesitation that my destiny is shaped.

once i make full use of every moment, i believe that, my worries will be gradually cut down to nothing.

time is the most valuable of all our possessions, but the most perishable as well. as henry david thoreau said,"you must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment."

whenever i fell the lack of time in the future, i will tell myself "carpe diem , seize the day, make every moment count."

I am a third year master major in automation at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, P. R. China. With tremendous interest in Industrial Engineering, I am writing to apply for acceptance into your Ph.D. graduate program.

In 1995, I entered the Nanjing University of Science & Technology (NUST) -- widely considered one of the China’s best engineering schools. During the following undergraduatestudy, my academic records kept distinguished among the whole department. I was granted First Class Prize every semester, and my overall GPA(89.5/100) ranked No.1 among 113 students. In , I got the privilege to enter the graduate program waived of the admission test. I selected the Shanghai Jiao Tong University to continue my study for its best reputation on Combinatorial Optimization and Network Scheduling where my research interest lies.

At the period of my graduate study, my overall GPA(3.77/4.0) ranked top 5% in the department. In the second semester, I became teacher assistant that is given to talented and matured students only. This year, I won the Acer Scholarship as the one and only candidate in my department, which is the ultimate accolade for distinguished students endowed by my university. Presently, I am preparing my graduation thesis and trying for the honor of Excellent Graduation Thesis.

Research experience and academic activity

When a sophomore, I joined the Association of AI Enthusiast and began to narrow down my interest for my future research. In , I participated in simulation tool development for the scheduling system in Prof. Wang’s lab. With the tool of OpenGL and Matlab, I designed a simulation program for transportation scheduling system. It is now widely used by different research groups in NUST. In , I assumed and fulfilled a sewage analysis & dispose project for Nanjing sewage treatment plant. This was my first practice to convert a laboratory idea to a commercial product.

In 1999, I joined the distinguished Professor Yu-Geng Xis research group aiming at Network flow problem solving and Heuristic algorithm research. Soon I was engaged in the FuDan Gene Database Design. My duty was to pick up the useful information among different kinds of gene matching format. Through the comparison and analysis for many heuristic algorithms, I introduced an improved evolutionary algorithm -- Multi-population Genetic Algorithm. By dividing a whole population into several sub-populations, this improved algorithm can effectively prevent GA from local convergence and promote various evolutionary orientations. It proved more efficiently than SGA in experiments, too. In the second semester, I joined the workshop-scheduling research in Shanghai Heavy Duty Tyre plant. The scheduling was designed for the rubber-making process that covered not only discrete but also continuous circumstances. To make a balance point between optimization quality and time cost, I proposed a Dynamic Layered Scheduling method based on hybrid Petri Nets. The practical application showed that the average makespan was shortened by a large scale. I also publicized two papers in core journals with this idea. Recently, I am doing research in the Composite Predict of the Electrical Power system assisted with the technology of Data Mining for Bao Steel. I try to combine the Decision Tree with Receding Optimization to provide a new solution for the Composite Predictive Problem. This project is now under construction.

Besides, In July , I got the opportunity to give a lecture in English in Asia Control Conference (ASCC) which is one of the top-level conferences among the world in the area of control and automation. 一、英语教学工作:

在教学中,我们追求的是让孩子们快乐地上英语课。玩是孩子们的天性,课堂上,我们经常采用形式多样的教学方法,来激发学生的兴趣,营造轻松、愉快的课堂气氛。同时,我们还不断地创设各种情景,使课堂学习活动化、交际化,生活化。孩子们在课堂上全神贯注、兴趣盎然,在不知不觉中既学到了知识,又得到了学习的快乐。

二、如何让孩子喜欢学英语,主动学英语

1)首先让孩子明确英语学习的重要性,帮助他们树立信心。英语只是一种语言,不难,也不高深,只要学习方法对路,只要肯花功夫,是一定可以学好的,并且短期内就能收到效果。 2)帮助孩子建立和形成良好的英语学习习惯。可以这么说,良好的学习习惯是英语学习成功的一半。它分两部分:一是课堂习惯,二是课外习惯。课堂良好习惯表现为:能集中注意力听讲,能积极大胆发言,能适时的做好必要的笔记。这是孩子为今后学习必须掌握的一项课堂技能。课外良好习惯,主要表现为:能坚持每天听英语或读英语,认真完成老师布置的作业,主动预习新课,并对所学知识进行及时的复习和巩固。

3)要关注孩子的学习过程,不要只注重结果。就是说不要等成绩出来了再说如何,如何。而应该时刻关注孩子每一天的成长。所谓:好好学习,天天向上。一口吃不成胖子,一天养不成好习惯。比如说,每天,您是否能听到孩子脱口而出简单地英语句子;我们是否听到孩子大声地说或读英语,大声读英语尤其重要,因为英语的语音较汉语来讲,比较夸张,如果声音小,容易造成发音不到位,错音也不容易被发现。

4)不断激发孩子的学习兴趣。兴趣、情感和态度等非智力因素对英语学习起着极其重要的作用。中低年级孩子往往兴趣很高,但到了高年级,随着难度加大,兴趣继而大大减弱,这很正常。只有通过认真,踏实、勤恳地学习得到成功地体验,才能形成更高层次的兴趣。兴趣有了,自然就有好的态度,饱满的学习状态,学习就进入良性循环。 怎样帮助孩子学好英语呢?

三、重视良好的学习习惯的培养 :

(1)让孩子多听录音 在英语教学中,首先是加强听力训练和说话训练,然后才是读写能力的培养。听说能力差,用英语进行交际的能力差。为此,家长一定要配合学校来要求孩子,要创造条件让孩子多听,多听纯正的录音,听几遍、听清楚了以后,跟着说。现在英语试卷听力题占40甚至50分了。

(2)让孩子大声说英语 家长要每天留出20分钟左右时间让孩子读读英语,不管当天有无英语课。我们要鼓励孩子大声地朗读、对话、问答,大声说,不害羞,这样有利于清楚地表达自己,也有利于他人纠正自己的错误。

本学期学校采用的是译林出版社的牛津小学英语,此册书共有10个单元,每个单元分三个部分,分别要求听,认,说。教材遵循由浅入深,由易入难的规律,所选内容均是与学生平时日常生活有关,可以密接结合平时的生活经历,切实做到了理论与实践结合,让孩子在现实生活中也能有机会锻炼英语口语。

四、良好学习习惯的培养

其实要学好英语,课上占40%,其余的60%还需要孩子在课后不断的巩固,加深记忆。在课上老师更多的是教授新知识,当然课上也会有少量的时间巩固新学的知识。但是这些时间是公共的时间,而不是每个学生私有的时间,所以不可能照顾到每个学生,不可能让所有学生都达到相同的程度。况且每个学生对新知识的接受能力都是不同的,有的可能当堂就已经有很深的印象,很难忘记,但这肯定是很少的。大部分学生都只能是初步接触了新知识,要真正接受新知识还要学生在课后多下功夫,不然肯定会和别的同学拉下差距。

那么在课后学生到底该怎么做才能把其余的60%补回来呢?英语毕竟不是我们自己的语言,大多数孩子除了英语课其余时间根本就不会想到要说英语,所以,在课后一定要主动抽时间为自己补习英语。学好英语,不外乎就是在听,说,读,写这些方面下功夫。

首先说一下听,每次我们学过的英语,都要让孩子去听一听、指一指,让孩子多听,听的多了也就得到了巩固。接下来是说,英语是一门语言,学了就是要说,要和别人交流。我们学的英语不应该是哑巴英语,要让每个孩子学会勇敢地说出来。在课上我会用各种方法来刺激学生,激发他们说英语的积极性,大多数学生也确实做得很好。可是班级里人多,对每个人来说,说的机会就少。所以下课也要说;放学回家也要说。在学校,我鼓励学生把所学的英语对话运用到生活中去,这样有更真实的情景,更能让学生有发挥的余地。在家里,希望家长也能鼓励学生说英语,也许你会说你自己也听不懂,请不要这样想,其实孩子需要的是你的鼓励,你听了他们说的只要简单表扬一句,他们就会很满足了。有时候你们也可以不懂装懂,或者还可以让孩子反过来教你,他们会觉得很自豪,因为自己所学得派上了用场。 接下来是读。有句话:“读书破万卷,下笔如有神。”学英语也是这样,很多家长也明白,学英语要培养语感,也就是语言的感觉,如果有很好的语感,那么语感怎么来呢?就是靠读出来的。一定要让学生养成每天读英语的习惯,这是学英语的最基本的学习习惯了。无论什么事情都贵在坚持,如果你的孩子还没有养成这样的学习习惯,请你一定要督促他,刚开始也许会比较难,时间久了,就会习惯成自然。就像早上起来要刷牙洗脸一样,要让他们把读英语当作每天必做的一件事。

请各位家长看看自己孩子的成绩,如果成绩不理想的请家长也不要生气,一定要多督促他学习,争取下次考及格甚至更优异的成绩。对于历史学习,我是这样想的,课堂上我精讲精练,学生认真听讲,做好笔记,尽量不占用太多的课下时间。学习能力强的上课四十五分钟听了记住了,考高分是没问题的;学习能力弱,课堂不注意听讲的学生,当时就没怎么弄明白,后来又不看不记,考试的时候就大脑一片空白。考试分数出来自然不堪入目。所以对于成绩不理想的学生,自己要多分析,同时家长要帮助他分析一下原因,从中吸取教训,争取下次取得好成绩。

每月检查抽时间检查孩子的作业,看有没有认真完成,看是否改正错题。抽空翻翻孩子的课本,看有没有认真记笔记。尤其是成绩比较差学生,家长要辛苦一点,多加督促。如果有耐心的话可以再检查孩子的背诵和记忆,有些家长和孩子可能认为开卷考试就不用记和背,这是对开卷考试的误解,只有在熟记知识的基础上才能灵活运用,况且考试时间是很有限的,那有时间翻书答那些简单的题,如果能够熟记,翻书数度也很快的。这样既促进了孩子学习,又让孩子感觉到你很关注他。
