Hello everyone, the title of my speech is "The Mission of Youth".

What is youth?

And the way I got interested in this was, I noticed in myself, when I was growing up, and until about a few years ago, that I would want to say thank you to someone, I would want to praise them, I would want to take in their praise of me and Id just stop it. And I asked myself, why? I felt shy, I felt embarrassed. And then my question became, am I the only one who does this? So, I decided to investigate.

Im fortunate enough to work in the rehab facility, so I get to see people who are facing life and death with addiction. And sometimes it comes down to something as simple as, their core wound is their father died without ever saying hes proud of them. But then, they hear from all the family and friends that the father told everybody else that he was proud of him, but he never told the son. Its because he didnt know that his son needed to hear it.

So my question is, why dont we ask for the things that we need? I know a gentleman, married for 25 years, whos longing to hear his wife say, "Thank you for being the breadwinner, so I can stay home with the kids," but wont ask. I know a woman whos good at this. She, once a week, meets with her husband and says, "Id really like you to thank me for all these things I did in the house and with the kids." And he goes, "Oh, this is great, this is great." And praise really does have to be genuine, but she takes responsibility for that. And a friend of mine, April, who Ive had since kindergarten, she thanks her children for doing their chores. And she said, "Why wouldnt I thank it, even though theyre supposed to do it?"

So, the question is, why was I blocking it? Why were other people blocking it? Why can I say, "Ill take my steak medium rare, I need size six shoes," but I wont say, "Would you praise me this way?" And its because Im giving you critical data about me. Im telling you where Im insecure. Im telling you where I need your help. And Im treating you, my inner circle, like youre the enemy. Because what can you do with that data? You could neglect me. You could abuse it. Or you could actually meet my need.

And I took my bike into the bike store-- I love this -- same bike, and theyd do something called "truing" the wheels. The guy said, "You know, when you true the wheels, its going to make the bike so much better." I get the same bike back, and theyve taken all the little warps out of those same wheels Ive had for two and a half years, and my bike is like new. So, Im going to challenge all of you. I want you to true your wheels: be honest about the praise that you need to hear. What do you need to hear? Go home to your wife -- go ask her, what does she need? Go home to your husband -- what does he need? Go home and ask those questions, and then help the people around you.

We Are The World ,We Are The Future

世界是我们的，未来是我们的

Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. I don’t know who wrote these words, but I’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.

有人说“我们正在读一本无穷的书中的第一章的第一节。”我不知道谁写了这些话，但是我一直很喜欢它，因为它提醒了我，我们能够创造我们想要的未来。

We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. To answer it, first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind.

I am a rich girl, because I have a lot of treasure. 我是一个富有的女孩，因为我拥有着许多的财富。

Friends are my treasures. Whenever I am sad and down, I know they would hold my hands and warm my heart. They show me how amazing the friendship is.

朋友是我的财富。当我伤心或者低落的时候，我知道他们会握着我的手并温暖我的心。他们告诉我友谊有多么美好。

Families are also my treasures. Whether time find us far apart or it keeps us close together, they are always standing by my side. They tell me how wonderful to be loved by people you love.

Experience is my treasure. Whatever good or bad situation I have to face, it would show me the right way. It helps me to know more about life.

I believe I will be richer in the future., because the way of life is just like a journey of finding treasure .You never know when and where you can find them. You just keep going and they will be found in some time at some place. 在距离20xx年高考只有z天的这一刻，我们都聚在这里，隆重举办了中铁学校20xx高考百日冲刺誓师动员大会，意味着再过z天，同学们就要准备上阵，踏上庄严神圣的高考战场。借此难得的机会，我说几个希望:

一、服从领导，服从指挥。

20xx年高考xx学校成绩优异，本科上线率达到85%，xx区本科平均上线率 22%，早在20xx20年9月，学校组织了高中20年xx学校将于20日举行高考经验交流会xx每位老师都分发了陕西省新课程高考大纲和高考试题。所有老师都在总结我们学校的20年xx在高考成功经验的基础上，深入研究高考大纲，明确考试范围，分析高考试题类型，精心选择试题，制定科学、合理、周密的20道试题x高考复习计划。我们有理由相信，教师的高考复习策略是正确的，教师的教学对学生准备高考有正确的主导作用。我们有理由相信，教师的高考复习策略是正确的，教师的教学对学生准备高考起着正确的主导作用。因此，我希望学生们在最后一天服从老师的领导，听从老师的指挥。人心齐，泰山移，师生心齐，高考一定会赢！

3)注意通过模拟训练，提高自己的答题技巧，锻炼自己的考试能力，认真练习，赢得高考！

四、身体健康，心态阳光。

距离高考z天，学生经常努力工作，日夜努力工作，这是可以理解的，但及时工作和休息，以确保健康，健康是确保高效准备的基础。高考来找我们，学生有些焦虑，有些担心，甚至有些不自信，也可以理解，这属于正常的心理反应，但学会及时调整，保持阳光心态，积极情绪，让我们相信：我努力工作，我可以，做最好的自己，我可以！

在高考中有位考生写过这样一段话：我曾经埋怨过，脚底发黄的布鞋，踏不出青春的活力，直到我发觉霍金转动的轮椅，嵌出深深的历史痕迹;我曾咒骂过，脸边黝黑的胎记，映不出美丽的脸庞，直到我看见全身黝黑的黑人，露出甜甜的美丽微笑……

也许你曾抱怨过上帝是捉弄人的，他对你吝啬幸福，却让痛苦折磨着你，日日夜夜，疲惫不堪，换来的只是滚烫的泪珠。但苦尽甘来后，当你揭开那沉重的幕纱，你会看清，上帝是公平的，磨难也是一种财富。

曾经有人做了一个试验。他点清了一座山林中的红羊后，把山中的狼全部捕捉起来，让红羊没有敌人。照理说，红羊应该是悠闲自得、快乐地生活了，但事与愿违，红羊为了争夺一小片土地、甚至一棵青草而搏斗，由原来一支整齐的队伍变为一盘散沙。经过搏斗的'红羊一只只疲惫不堪，过去那种矫健、奔跑如飞的红羊在这座山林中再未曾出现过，而且，红羊的数量也在逐渐减少。是什么原因呢?因为人们捕获了狼，红羊没有了给它们造成生命威胁的动物，而自相残杀直至消亡，失去了危机，同时也失去了生机。可见，在生态环境中，没有磨难就不会有生态平衡的系统。

张海迪胸部以下失去知觉，但这些困难反而使她有了更为远大的目标，学习掌握了德语、日语、英语。她为什么能取得常人都不容易取得的成就呢?因为她在承受巨大挫折的同时，也将挫折化为了动力，让挫折成为自己的奴隶，再一次战胜了磨难。

人生如一块璞玉，这是上帝赐予你最大的财富，这块璞玉中有着酸甜苦辣，也许痛苦过后便是幸福，这是上帝给予你最大的机遇。只有自己努力来雕琢这块璞玉，才能使它成为完美无瑕的艺术品。

同学们，当你遇到挫折、困难时，不妨想想，上帝是公平的，有时磨难也是一种财富。

How to construct a legal system that is sound enough and broad enough to respond to the needs of a dynamic society? How to maintain our cultural identity in an increasingly homogeneous world? And how to define greatness in our rise as a peace-loving nation? Globalization entails questions that concern us all.

Like many young people my age in China, I want to see my country get prosperous and enjoy respect in the international community. But it seems to me that mere patriotism is not just enough. It is vitally important that we young people do more serious thinking and broaden our mind to bigger issues. There might never be easy answers to those issues such as globalization, but to take them on and give them honest thinking is the first step to be prepared for both opportunities and challenges coming our way. This is also one of the thoughts that came to me while preparing this speech.

we are the world ,we are the future

someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. i don’t know who wrote these words, but i’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. we are all in the position of the farmers. if we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. if we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.

we are young. “how to spend the youth?” it is a meaningful question. to answer it, first i have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind. it’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. it’s the matter of the will. it’s the freshness of the deep spring of life.
