with the development of our society ,more and more people lose themselves ,and they don't know what they want to do ,they don't know what they are doing .how terrible !

for us ,we can't choose to be born ,we can't choose our parents ,we can't choose the country of our birth ,we can't choose the time of our death ,but we can choose how to face our life :happy or unhappy ,positive or negative . what is important , what we should do and what we shouldn't do ,we can decide by ourselves. no matter how we choose and decide ,all of these are made by us .so don't care too much about what others think of you ,only do yourself and make yourself.

let's do a heart ,let's live in the sunshine,let our life be more meaningful,do we want to do ,do what we do ,do our own .

对于我们，我们不能选择出生，我们不能选择我们的父母，我们不能选择我们的出生国，我们不能选择我们的死亡时间，但我们可以选择如何面对我们的生活：幸福或不快乐，积极或消极。什么是重要的，我们应该做什么，我们不应该做什么，我们可以自己决定。不管我们如何选择和决定，所有这些都是由我们做的，所以不要太在意别人怎么看你，只做自己，自己做。

With the development of the modern technology，private car is no longer a luxurious thing for ordinary people，more and more people drive to work instead of going by bus. The popularization of private car has many advantages.First，it is very convenient and time-saving，you can drive your own car to the workplace instead of waiting for the crowded bus and afraid of being late for working.Second，it can also improve the traffic structure，and help to mitigate the stress of the traffic.Third，the popularization of private car can help to promote the car industry and any other interrelated industries. I believe that in the future the private car will become the most important vehicle and we cann't live without it.

So maybe that's why we think of fear, sometimes, as a danger in and of itself. “Don't worry,” we like to say to one another. “Don't panic.” In English, fear is something we conquer. It's something we fight.

It's something we overcome. But what if we looked at fear in a fresh way? What if we thought of fear as an amazing act of the imagination, something that can be as profound and insightful as storytelling itself?

It's easiest to see this link between fear and the imagination in young children, whose fears are often extraordinarily vivid.

When I was a child, I lived in California, which is, you know, mostly a very nice place to live, but for me as a child, California could also be a little scary.

I remember how frightening it was to see the chandelier that hung above our dining table swing back and forth during every minor earthquake, and I sometimes couldn't sleep at night, terrified that the Big One might strike while we were sleeping.

And what we say about kids who have fears like that is that they have a vivid imagination. But at a certain point, most of us learn to leave these kinds of visions behind and grow up.

We learn that there are no monsters hiding under the bed, and not every earthquake brings buildings down. But maybe its no coincidence that some of our most creative minds fail to leave these kinds of fears behind as adults.

good morning.Today ,my topic is ‘be the best and to be myself’.

Who is the best student in your class Do you think the best student often draws attention from others and are you even jealous of him or her from time to time

Frankly speaking, I do.

In my class , my deskmate is considered to be the best.In teachers’ eyes ,he is a clever boy ;

So intelligent is he that he is able to figure out difficult problems in extremely short time.From most classmates’ point of view ,he is an energetic friend.Not only can he play the Jazz drum wonderfully ,but also he is good at so many sports .Furthermore ,he always shows his sense of humour in the communication with others.Definitely ,he is the best.Nevertheless ,I don’t admire him in the least or I don’t agree that I’m supposed to become what he is .Despite the fact that I have ever been green with envy ,I’m conscious that everyone has his own values .No matter how outstanding others are, I should spare no effort to be myself .I used to think of myself as an average student.Although I am capable of playing the trumpet and using computer software practically, seldom do I show my advantages at school .On account of that, it seems that the only impression I have left on my teachers and classmates is that I’m a hardworking ,modest and silent student.What I wonder is how I can show my outgoing and lively side to them.If I make it, I am surely the best of myself.

It goes without saying that we ought not to seek to be like others all the time .I have been looking for my particular value in the society and that should be the best of myself.

classifying rubbish , improving environment good morning, respectable judges, teachers. today, standing here makes me feel really honored and excited. the title of my speech is classifying rubbish , improving environment.

personally, rubbish has been a big headache in beijing. as the year -- is coming ,every citizen has realized green beijing and green olympics will bring the far-reaching impact on beijing and even all china . the scense of rubbish nearly everywhere has given all of us a really bad impression, and im sure none of us wish to show off the bad side of beijing to athletes and journalists all over the world, for it would blemish the citys and even chinas image and leave a bad reputation. so we really have to work hard on green olympics.

now, we are middle school students. we must improve the sense of protecting the environment and make a contribution to green olympics .

in our life, a lot of rubbish , such as waste paper, plastic bottles ,batteries and so on , is produced every day . after we learnt the passage make our environment more beautiful , we found a lot of rubbish thrown into dustbins could be recycled in fact during our discussion. so we thought it would be better if we could classify rubbish . we told our idea to our teacher and he supported us very much . we became volunteers to classify rubbish . firstly we got three big boxes and put them in a corner of our classroom . one is for waste paper , one for plastics and coke cans and the other is for batteries . with teachers help ,soon all the students took part in the activity of classifying rubbish .in a month , we collected three boxes of paper , a box of batteries and a box of plastics and coke cans .we sold them for 28 yuan and bought some young trees with the money . we planted the trees around our school . we were all spoken highly of by our school principals. now we keep on the job and are all proud of improving environment .

the world trusts beijing .beijing still has a lot to do to reach the level the world expects, but we have the confidence to make beijing a green city. great changes are taking place, and not far in the future, beijing will be the focus of all worlds attention. well grasp the opportunity and do our best to make the sky bluer, water greener and air fresher by the year --.

I have been in University for about one year. During my stay here, I came to realize that university life is like drinking coke. We experience all tastes of life here, sour, sweet, bitter and hot.

I am from Province, which is far away from here. I often miss my Mum, friends, and relatives in my hometown. However, I can't see them very often. So loneliness always keeps me company. I am sad that I can't be there with them.

Lucky for me, life in university is rich and colorful. With more free time,we can do many more things besides study, such as joining societies clubs, and taking part-time jobs. Such activities not only make our life more colorful, but also help us improve all kinds of skills. The university is a society miniature, what we learn here will benefit our future life.

Our path in life will not always be smooth. Setbacks can't be avoided. Failing an important exam, break up with boy or girl friend, or refused by a promising company, such setbacks are likely to get us

down. Sometimes we fell so frustrated that we even burst into tears.

Drinkin coke is wonderful, despite the undesirble consequent hiccups. It's bitter, sour and peppery, but also sweet. And you'll even feel excited after gulping down a glass. A college experience is part of growing up. We cry, smile, fall in love, get hurt, leave, learn and then we become a better person. University life is like drinking coke. I'm experiencing it. And I know, I enjoy it!
